  • Pear & Raspberry Delight(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 large ripe Anjou pear
Scant 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
Generous 1/2 cup ice-cold water
Honey, to taste
Decoration:
Raspberries on a cocktail stick
Steps:
1. Peel the pear & cut into fourths, removing the core. Put into a food processor or blender with the raspberries & water & process until smooth.
2. Taste & sweeten with honey if the raspberries are a little sharp.
3. Pour into a glass & decorate with whole raspberries on a cocitail stick & serve.

  • Banana, Peach & Strawberry Smoothie(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
1/2 cup whole milk or soy milk
1 TBSP plain yogurt
1/2 TBSP maple syrup
1/4 peeled & sliced banana
1/4 stoned, peeled & chopped peach
1 1/2 hulled strawberries
Steps:
1. Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor & process until combined & frothy.
2. Pour into a glass & serve immediately.

  • San Francisco亂七八糟!

有鑑於明天就是City College開學的日子.所以今天我刻意跑上街玩耍一番
Bay Area一共有3個跳蚤市場.因為去年去過了Alemany的.上星期天也去了Berkeley的.所以今天打算去的就是Mission St.的
很鳥的是.出門前我畫的地圖是google到的那一個.最早之前查到的另一個地址我只有些許的印象(什麼Civic Center啦!又什麼Van Ness啦~)
好不容易搭#29(司機好好!給了我一張到晚上10:30的transfer!)轉#26終於到了Valencia St.與19th Ave.的交界.可是我在2260 Mission St.並沒有看到什麼跳蚤市場
來回走了2趟.非常確定那就是一家商店而已(疑似是間剪頭髮的店?!)
Mission區搞得我十分緊張.我走進一家華人麵包店問路.老闆娘竟然說出了有一個跳蚤市場好像是在Folsom St.的這個答案(天啊~~~)
最後逼得我無計可施只好call out向Lily求救.硬是問出了另一個地址1651 Mission St.
膽戰心驚的我走到15th St.與14th St.中間時.發現了一個"疑似"是跳蚤市場的地方
不是我在講.真的不值得去.也不要一個人去
首先.賣的東西根本就是一堆亂七八糟的東西.完全不會有想去翻去找的慾望
再來就是.店家跟在那裡逛的人都是一些奇奇怪怪的人.真的真的很恐怖(我的手緊緊地抓著我的包包不敢放啊!)
從可怕的戰區出來後.我繼續往今天的目的地前進...
由於本人呈現迷路狀態.站在路口不知該何去何從.以至於擋了一位美國大男孩腳踏車騎士的路
他跟我說Excuse me的時候我嚇了一小跳.後來回過神來快速閃開之後.他老兄就自顧自地過馬路去
然後...他邊騎就邊回頭看著我...還改變他的路線.過了馬路.騎到我旁邊來.問我現在幾點!
見鬼了...老娘找不到跳蚤市場又淪陷在可怕的Mission區火氣正大.這麼小的事情還敢來煩我?!
我客氣地報上時間12:20之後他還不走.接著問我幾歲?!
我看著他.不太客氣的說我快30了.想說他應該懂得"知難而退"!
殊不知.他接著繼續問我有沒有男朋友真是個天殺的程咬金.老娘沒空理你啊!!!
接著我繼續走.到Duboce Ave.的時候一時不察.走到了Otis St.去.所以我又在路口東張西望.還拿出我自己手繪的破地圖詳讀
這時候又有一個好心人士問我要不要幫忙.我跟他說我要到1651 Mission St.去.反正我們好像同路.所以就開始在路上小聊起來
後來到了Otis St., S Van Ness Ave.跟Mission St.的交界我們"總算"要分道揚鑣.土耳其先生竟然問我說下次什麼時候可以見面?!
再次見鬼一起走這麼一小段路你以為你就變得跟老娘我很熟嗎?!還約我喝咖啡咧!!!
小結論就是今天的目的沒達成但是被搭訕了2趟.沒想到小阿姨我竟然在一天當中受到兩男青睞.也算是不幸中的大幸了(好爛的結論喔~)
anyhow...我繼續沿著Mission St.走然後在10th St.左轉走到Market St.接著又走到Market St. @ 9th St.搭F Line
上車沒多久.椅子都還沒坐熱.我就改變心意在Civic Center跳下車.去晃了一下Farmers' Market
Heart of the City Farmers' Market (U N Plaza) 
大概是因為跳蚤市場沒逛到導致我看水果蔬菜都沒心情.所以我又改搭#21到Ferry Building.開始大吃特吃.一吐怨氣!!!
首先.我去了Ciao Bella Gelato買2球冰淇淋($4.25)吃.1球是現場唯一近似caramel的Dulche de Leche gelato.另1球就是Mango sorbet(因為我改用vanilla waffle cone所以得外加$1.05)
Mango口味的非常非常的好吃.但是Dulche de Leche沒有辦法跟我在Seattle吃的相比.所以這一項只得50%
每天據說有36種口味供顧客選擇! 
接著我到Taylor’s Automatic Refresher買Chocolate Shake($4.99).是還不錯喝.但沒有到超特別值得大推的地步.勉強給個60%吧~
Taylor’s Automatic Refresher總是大排長龍~ 
至於最後一項就是Mijita的taco囉~(我本來想點的是burrito的.但小姐跟我說burrito"非~~~常"的小!奇怪?!難道她是看出我是"大胃王"嗎?!)
我認真地研究了菜單之後.點了個taco de carne asada.裡面有grilled marinated beef, smoky red salsa, cilantro & onions in soft corn tortillas ($4.25)
一端上來我就快吐了.因為上面放滿了香菜...(這告訴我們要好好學英文.因為我一直以為香菜就是coriander.沒想到還有cilantro如此一說...哇嗚~)
極其恐怖的taco de carne asada ($4.25) 
所以囉...香菜讓這樣食物大減分.牛肉再好吃.salsa醬再香辣.洋蔥再帶勁.我還是只能給出50%...
吃得超撐的我出了Ferry Building.本來差點上了F Line.這時候突然想起上次沒去到的San Francisco Railway Museum.所以又臨時把這個點加進去

後來又突然看到Jeffrey's Toys所以我又跳下車.逛出來之後再漫步到Old Navy以及GAP去~
然後我又在ROSS以及RITE AID間來來回回.最後在Walgreens買了三秒膠又聽了很多的小孩哭鬧.才踏上歸途!!!
真的只能說...WHAT A LONG DAY!!!

  • Peach & Orange Milkshake(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
Scant 1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup peach yogurt
Scant 1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup canned peach slices, drained
3 ice cubes, crushed
Decoration:
Strips of orange peel
Steps:
1. Pour the milk, yogurt & orange juice into a food processor or blender & process gently until combined.
2. Add the peach slices & ice cubes & process until smooth. Pour the mixture into a glass & decorate with strips of orange peel.

  • Forest Fruit Smoothie(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 banana, sliced & frozen
1 1/2 cups frozen forest fruits (such as blueberries, raspberries & blackberries)
Decoration:
A slice of fresh orange
Steps:
1. Pour the orange juice into a food processor or blender. Add the banana & half of the forest fruits & process until smooth.
2. Add the remaining forest fruits & process until smooth. Pour the mixture into a tall glass & decorate the rim with a slice of fresh orange.
3. Add a straw & serve.

  • Raspberry & Strawberry Smoothie(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1-2
Ingredients:
1/6 cup raspberries
1/4 cup strawberries, halved
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 TSP almond extract (optional)
1-1 1/2 TBSP honey, to taste
Steps:
1. Press the raspberries through a nylon strainer into a bowl using the back of a spoon. Discard the seeds in the strainer.
2. Put the raspberry puree, strawberries, yogurt, milk & almond extract, if using, into a food processor or blender & process until smooth & combined.
3. Pour the smoothie into a chilled glasses, stir in honey to taste & serve.

  • Apple Cooler(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 ripe apple, peeled & roughly chopped
1/8 cup strawberries, hulled
Juice of 2 oranges
Sugar, to taste
Decoration:
A slice of apple
Steps:
1. Put the apple, strawberries & orange juice into a food processor or blender & process until smooth.
2. Taste & sweeten with sugar, if necessary.
3. Decorate with a slice of apple & serve at once.

  • Cranberry Energizer(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
3/4 cup cranberry juice
Scant 1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
1/2 TBSP lemon juice
Decoration:
A slice & a spiral of fresh lemon or orange
Steps:
1. Put the cranberry juice & orange juice into a food processor or blender & process gently until combines. Add the raspberries & lemon juice & process until smooth.
2. Pour the mixture into a glass & decorate with a slice & a spiral of fresh lemon or orange. Serve at once.

  • Letscho(from now you're cookin' HOT AND SPICY)

Serves 4
Ingredients:
2 red peppers
2 green peppers
2 beefsteak tomatoes, skinned
5 tbsp olive oil
2 large onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, finely sliced
4 small garlic sausages
Steps:
1. Cut the peppers in half & remove & discard the stems, cores & seeds.
2. Finely slice the tomatoes.
3. Heat the oil in a large, heavy-based pan over a medium heat & add the onions & peppers & cook for about 5 minutes, until softened, stirring frequently.
4. Add the garlic & cook for 2 minutes, stirring.
5. Slice the garlic sausages, add to the pan & stir to mix.
6. Cover & simmer for about 35 minutes, until the vegetables & garlic sausage slices are tender.
7. Serve hot.
Serving suggestion:
Serve with hunks of wholemeal bread & a mixed leaf salad.
Variations:
1. Use chorizo sausage in place of garlic sausages.
2. Remove the casing & crumble the sausage into the pan before cooking.
3. Stir 2 tbsp sour cream into the letscho & allow to heat through gently without boiling before serving.
搭配全麥吐司一起吃

  • Cool Cranberries(from Smoothies & Juices)

Serves 1
Ingredients:
3/4 cup cranberries, thawed if frozen
Scant 1/2 cup cranberry juice, chilled
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2-3/4 TBSP honey
Steps:
1. Place the cranberries & the cranberry juice into a food processor or blender & process until smooth. Add the yogurt & 1/2 tablespoon of honey & process again until combined. Taste & add more honey, if necessary.
2. Pour into a chilled glass & serve.
